For years, Werner Ladder has lifted up the winning men’s and women’s coaches during the Final Four season. Cutting down the nets is the iconic moment, but Werner does more when it shows up in a tournament city. The brand supports the Naismith Coach of the Year trophy and also connects the iconic ladder with fans at the retail level.
For tournament season, our activation team members become publicists, securing airtime on local news to talk about the net-cutting tradition and the significance of the trophy. As a result, viewers of local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and PBS stations get schooled in all-things basketball. We also arrange activations at home improvement centers (and delight in how many people enjoy stepping up and imagining victory!).
